I was born in 1964 in Budapest (Hungary) as a daughter of Peter Tahy and Anna Jankovics. I got married 1983. My husband, Sándor Szalay, graduated as teacher of mathematics, physics and computer technologies. We have three daughters; they were born in 1983, '87 and '90.

Ady Endre Gimnázium Budapest XIII. 1987-1994: Beside the teaching mathematics and physics I was protector of children, later careers manager. 1994-Up to now: I teach above all information and computer technologies. I am the deputy manager of computer technology teachers. I keep the connection between the school and Soros Foundation in the Jefferson Program. I am the supervisor of computers too. |

1998: I wrote an exercise book for learning the applications of spreadsheets: Feladatgyűjtemény táblázatkezeléshez
1998- I participated making the topics of Basic Internet Course for Teachers and I was one of them who coached the teachers for teaching on this course.
1998- I am member of The Teacher Postgraduate Team and The Textbook Developer Team of ISZE. I work in a project for usage of CD-ROM in education.
1998- I am member of Digital Educational Subcommittee of Hungarian Academy of Science.
1997- 1998: I work in Regional Supervisor project of Soros Foundation, which help new connecting schools in SULINET (Internet for schools) program to solve the beginner problems.
1999- I act as an expert on ministerial accreditation of postgraduate courses of teachers.
1999 - 2001: I am the technical coordinator of Project Access (Hungarian - American strategy to bring deaf and hard of hearing Hungarian students to help into the information age)
2000- 2001: I participated in an OECD research and assessment Using ICT in the School as mathematics teacher and research worker.
2000- 2002: I'd a course named ICT in Teaching Mathematics on the ELTE.
2001: I was the Teacher of the Year of XIII District of Budapest
2001- I participate in developing of the new certification of ICT.
2002: I participate in developing of the cross curriculum of ICT and other facts.
2003: I wrote a distance learning curriculum for teachers of mathematics about how to Use ICT in teaching
2003: I developed Math curriculum in Sulinet Digital Database
2004: I was co-writer of an exercise book for learning ICT in a grammar school: Informatika feladatgyűjtemény - Alapszint (NTK)
2004: I was co-writer of an exercise book for learning ICT in a secondary school: Érettségire felkészítő feladatgyűjtemény - Informatika(NTK).
2005: I was co-writer of a book for using ICT in a teacher practise: Szövegszerkesztés és táblázatkezelés pedagógusoknak.
2005: I was co-writer of 101 Ideas For Innovative Teachers commissioned by Microsoft Hungary and published by Jedlik Oktatási Studio. English version published in 2006.
2005- 2006: I participated in adapting spreadsheets module of EPICT and I completed EPICT facilitator certification course. I facilitate some groups.
2006- I work on E-Twinning projects - I have some group and help colleagues to use IT and organize groups.

2006- I join to AEC-NET projects; 2008: conference participating in Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), getting up projects. 2009: conference participating in Sonderborg (Dania), getting up projects and coordinatig Programmers Club. 2010: conference participating in Gurgaon (India)
2007: I prepare myself to teach Windows Vista and Office 2007.

2009: I won the award of Pro Progressio Foundation (for education of science).

I've an "intermediate C" state certification in English and I speak basic German
Other works
I lecture on ICT, Teaching and Math every year 2-5 times on conferences for Hungarian teachers. I participate in several projects for example E-twinning, AEC-NET, Thinkquest and methodology research about EPICT, Calibrate, LeMill. I help improvement of talented students. I've several students who are awarded nn the National Secondary Schools Competition in Applied Inforamtics and Programming.
